Please read these usage instructions carefully since they contain important information on what should be considered in using this medical product.

Designation of medical product: Silver-Skin^®

Scope of application:
Supplementary treatment of atopic eczema (neurodermatitis). For the alleviation of the associated symptoms, such as e.g. itching.

Contraindications/ Side effects:
Skin irritations can be caused in patients suffering from a silver allergy. In case of signs of hypersensitivity, the treatment has to be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted if required.

What has to be considered for pregnant and nursing women?
There are no signs indicating that the product should not be used during pregnancy or during the nursing period.

Precautions and special information:
Special precautions are not required provided the product is used appropriately.

Type and term of use:
The Silver-Skin^® textile products should be washed before they are worn for the first time.
Silver-Skin^® products should be worn close to the skin in order to achieve an optimum effect.
A reduction of the effect might depend on the following:

• Frequency of washing
• Detergent
• Washing temperature

It is important that creams and ointments are not applied on the skin before the textiles are put on or while they are worn since otherwise the effect of the silver is not ensured.

Please consider that these textiles are highly-elastic special medical textiles of an extremely high quality which require careful handling because of the strain to which they are exposed (e.g. frequent dressing and undressing, washing).

Washing:
Wash Silver-Skin^® textiles separately from the normal home laundry. This helps to prevent the transfer of substances from other textiles which can have an impact on the skin’s flora.
Silver-Skin^® products can be treated and washed like silk (gentle cycle at 30°C). Wash in washing machine using conventional mild detergent.

Avoid general purpose detergent because of the bleaching agents which these might contain.
Do not use disinfectants, detergents containing chlorine or fabric softeners.

Air drying:
Do not use tumble dryer since the sensitive surface can be destroyed in direct contact with heat.

Ironing:
Only iron warm – the sensitive surface of the special textiles is destroyed by direct contact with heat. Only iron the textiles in a dry state since discolorations are caused otherwise. Do not steam iron.

Dry cleaning:
Never dry clean the products.
This processes damages the Silver-Skin^® textiles in their functional performance characteristics and affects their look.

Please note:
Shading, differences in colour and discolourations do not constitute manufacturing defects. They do not affect the function of the silver.

Avoid direct contact with electrical heat sources (e.g. heating blankets, etc.). Silver conducts heat and electricity. Contact with metal objects while the textiles are wet can lead to discolourations (e.g. wire hangers).
The fine rib quality ensures that the silver yarn is on top of the fabric on both sides and facilitates elastic dimensional stability at the same time.  

The manufacturer does not accept any liability for cases of damage/injuries caused by improper use or misuse.
